The CSIC gave a talk as an invited speaker at the “Nature-based solutions for tackling global health challenges: International Summer School in Heidelberg.” This interdisciplinary summer school aimed to equip early-career scientists and practitioners with the main concepts and methods of researching and implementing Nature-based Solutions (NbS). Topics covered included theory, study design, data and modelling, financing, determining value, and implementation, with a focus on their application to the converging global challenges of climate change and pandemics. The CSIC’s conference discussed the use of citizen science for studying mosquito-borne diseases in urban, peri-urban, and natural environments.
