UCL
UCL-CTMA is a mixed academic-clinical biotechnological platform, with strong research activities in infectious diseases, among which deep sequencing and diagnostic developments for on-site use and news tests to identify and characterize biowarfare agents (partnership with the Belgian Defence). UCL-CTMA has developed and owns an operational deployable analytical capacity (RRML B-LiFE for identification of life-threatening pathogens (e.g., monkeypox, Ebola, resistant tuberculosis, SARS-Cov-2, etc.) with extensive practical use of the mobile capacity (such as during the recent deployment in Italy in 2020 for COVID-19 pandemic response, Ebola West Africa outbreak in 2014-2015), and international training exercises (last one in Kazan in October 2021). The B-LiFE will be used as technological incubator for R&D&I activities developed in the framework of the current project and their evaluation during field exercises. UCL-CTMA participates and supports the MOBVEC consortium based on its large experience as practitioner, technology provider and EU collaborative projects manager.
