On September 2023 the invasive vector mosquito Aedes albopictus was first identified in the city of Lisboa, Portugal, and a multidisciplinary national Task Force (TF_PT) was convened.
In February 9th 2024, in a TF_PT a presentation was made on new and innovative approaches on the vector and vector-borne diseases integrated management and the project MOBVEC was addressed as turning point in the way vector-borne diseases are addressed. In this meeting, 20 attendees were present mainly from ministry of health institutions, but also from other institutions engaged to the TF_PT.
