On June 10 and 11, the XIV Days of Emerging Diseases organized by the Tuberculosis Research Unit of Barcelona (UITB), the Barcelona Public Health Agency (ASPB) and IDIAP Jordi Gol will be held. The meeting will take place at the College of Doctors of Barcelona and will bring together experts from different areas of health. Attendance is free and can be in person or online, but prior registration is required.
This scientific meeting is aimed at sharing knowledge and experiences, and responding to the needs of healthcare and public health professionals in relation to various emerging diseases. Therefore, the Conferences are structured in thematic tables that this year are dedicated to the West Nile Virus (WNV), infections transmitted by mosquitoes, sexually transmitted infections, influenza, RSV and various topics related to COVID-19, as well as climate change related to travelers and infections.
ASPB experts in the various fields will participate, including Cristina Rius, Àngels Orcau, Joan Pau Millet and Carles Pericas from the Epidemiology Service, and Tomás Montalvo, from the Urban Pest Surveillance and Control Service.
The Conferences are accredited by the Catalan Council for Continuing Education of the Health Professions – Comisión de Formación Continuada of the National Health System.
